Description

Xatt l-Ahmar (aka Three wrecks) is a very popular dive site in the south of Gozo, eastern from Ras il-Hobz. There are three wrecks MV Hephaistos, MV Karwela, MV Cominoland (actually four but MV Xlendi is not diveable) resting at the depth of 42 m, tops are around 25 m, all were scuttled for divers. We can do some deep wreck freediving or depth training. If we swim bit further off shore, the bottom quickly drops down to depth of over 100 m.

Note

Sea horses are pretty often found in shallow parts of the reef. Site is very popular for scuba divers so sometimes it can be very busy. MV Xlendi had capsized upside down while sinking so it's not safe to enter.
