FREEDIVING SAFARI - EGYPT 2019 (6/7)

Something different.

On the penultimate day I joined the dark side and tried scuba. And since we can't go freediving after scuba diving on the same day (you all know why - and if not, it's the highest time to take the course ;) ) I was doomed to be Darth Vader all day :)

And to be honest I loved it. Petra Pavúková is an amazing instructor with very attentive eye so if I missed some amazing creature she showed me. And she always waited until I was done with my photo shooting. And sometimes it was very long wait, hahaha.

The first dive we did at Small Gubal, the same spot like yesterday evening and night. I love this spot as it has an incredible coral garden.

The highlights of the day was definitely stone fish, geometric moray which is very small and Petra cuddling a giant moray eel.

The second dive went back to Sha'ab Abu Nuhas reef to a wreck of either Marcus or Charisoule. Nobody knows which wreck it it as both wrecked in a short time span at the same place, both loaded with tiles :) Anyway, the wreck was amazing. However, even though I have much more time to look around I felt very slow on scuba here. This wreck is pretty shallow so it must be incredible on freedive :D But I still loved it. It was different but still amazing :) However, although scuba is lovely, my heart will always keep beating in the freediving rhythm ❤️ The highlight of the dive - tiles are still stacked in piles after it sank and a pair of clownfish in incredible light.

The third dive was at another reef near Giftun island and it was great as well. Again beautiful coral garden, blue spotted stingrays, moray eels, lionfish. The highlight of the dive - the spotted shrimp goby guarding the joint nest with a shrimp.
