GNEJNA
Description
Gnejna is a sandy beach located at the north-west shore of Malta might seem to be pretty uninteresting for freediving. However, there is a wreck of an aircraft.
Dornier Wal XI seaplane wreckage is located in the middle of Gnejna Bay at depth of 7 metres on sandy seabed. The plane wreck consists of only part of the fuselage together with the sponsons, and some parts of the cockpit controls including the rudder pedal. Because of the depth, Dornier Wal wreck is a nice dive site for freedivers. The beachitself is rich in marine life, stingrays or flying gurnards included.
